Adeza Joins Russell 2000 and Russell 3000 Indexes

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 7, 2005--Adeza (NASDAQ:ADZA), a women's health company and the sole provider of a unique test for use in assessing the risk of preterm birth, today announced that it has been added to the Russell 2000® and Russell 3000® Indexes, effective after the close of U.S. equity markets on March 31, 2005.

Russell produces a family of 21 U.S. equity indexes which is designed to be a comprehensive representation of the investable U.S. equity market. Index membership is determined by market capitalization rankings and style attributes. Only common stocks incorporated in the United States and its territories are included. Beginning September 30, 2004, Russell Indexes began adding initial public offerings on a quarterly basis in order to enhance how well each index reflects its segment of the U.S. equity market. Adeza was one of 39 companies added to the Russell 2000 and 3000 Indexes at the close of the 2005 first quarter, six of which were in the healthcare sector.
