KRISZTINA ZSEBO JOINS ENTERPRISE PARTNERS AS PRINCIPAL

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Enterprise Partners, a venture capital firm based in San Diego, today announce the addition of Kristina M. Zsebo, Ph.D. as a Principal with the firm.  Dr. Zsebo will be part of the Life Sciences investment team headed by Drew Senyei, M.D., Managing Director and General Partner of EPVC.

Dr. Zsebo is a biopharmaceutical veteran with 20 years experience in the industry. She spent eight years at Amgen (1984-1992) in research and product development where she worked on many successful products including EPOGEN and NEUPOGEN, both billion-dollar pharmaceuticals. Following Amgen, she moved to Cell Genesys, where she was Executive Vice President of Research and Product Development. At Cell Genesys she was responsible for filing Cell Genesys’ first IND for a gene therapy product for AIDS and for managing Cell Genesys’ Xenotech Division, the predecessor of Abgenix.  Dr. Zsebo next headed the Biopharmaceutical and Implant Division of ALZA Corporation, and was instrumental in filing the NDA for Viadur.  Subsequently, she was Executive Vice President of Connetics Corporation. Recently, she served as CEO & President of Remedyne Corporation, an early stage biotechnology company based on technology developed from University of California, Santa Barbara.  Dr. Zsebo completed her Ph.D. in Comparative Biochemistry at the University of California, Berkeley.  Dr. Zsebo has over 90 publications in the field of biotechnology, and has been awarded numerous U.S. patents.
