Tia, M7 Integrate Mobile Porting Technologies
June 13, 2005
M7 Networks Inc., a leading trusted partner and enabler of advanced wireless services, and Tira Wireless, the premier provider of porting technology for the mobile content market, today announced a collaboration that will enable mobile content providers to port applications for deployment on mobile communities. Under the terms of the agreement, Tira Wireless will integrate M7 Networks' community APIs into the Tira Jump Product Suite. This will enable the automatic integration of the M7 functionality during porting with Tira Jump, as opposed to having to manually insert the functionality into each separate build.
"The success of carrier-branded game communities underscores the value of mobile community building, both for carriers and for publishers," said William Erickson, CEO and president of M7 Networks. "More leading mobile game and application publishers use Tira Jump than any other porting technology. These publishers can now accelerate deployment of content onto M7 Networks' community-based platform."
M7 Networks' Application Community Platform (ACP) provides a carrier-branded community experience and loyalty around mobile content. The community functionality includes unique user names across all community-enabled content, leaderboards, buddy lists, game ratings game recommendations and affinity programs. Recently, M7 Networks announced and commercially deployed its loyalty module for the accumulation of points for community
members who engage in community-centric activities.
"Communities are a growing influence in mobile gaming, and M7 Networks has been tremendously successful in this area," said Matt Golden, vice president of business development and Co-founder of Tira Wireless. "Its critical for publishers using Tira Jump to have the capability of quickly adapting their content for mobile communities during the porting process, enabling them to further accelerate time to market."
More than 50% of leading mobile content publishers use Tira Jump technology to port mobile games, including Disney, THQ Wireless, and Sony Pictures Digital. These publishers have created and deployed over 7,000 versions of leading mobile games and applications using Tira Jump technology.
The Tira Jump Product Suite enables mobile application porting across more than 250 different handsets, as well as multiple languages and mobile operator requirements. Tira Jump drives significant efficiencies in mobile application porting by automating the porting management process, ensuring quality, consistency and control; and automating the creation of multiple application builds from one portable reference build.
M7 Networks delivers community technology and services from its Application Community Platform. The ACP is structured and managed in an environment based upon data security, reliability and network connectivity demanded by carriers and content providers. The ACP is data agnostic and bridges content such as games, music, and video.
